Lead Pastor
Ricky was born in La Mirada, California. He has been married for the past 29 years to his beloved Cindy and has 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Ricky served 14 years in the United States Navy and during that time came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in a small chapel on the Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan. Ricky has degrees from Austin Peay State University, Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Jacksonville University, and Lake-Sumter Bible College and Seminary. Prior to entering the ministry full-time, Ricky was a Board-Certified Registered Nurse with the Veteran’s Administration until he retired with 20 years of Federal service. Ricky has previously served as a Deacon, an Elder, and a Worship Leader before being ordained into the preaching ministry. Ricky is a founding member of Welcome Home Christian Church and was the Music Minister for 3.5 years. Ricky currently serves WHCC as an Elder and as the Lead Pastor.
Welcome Home Christian Church strives to meet the needs of our entire community by providing a loving, grace-filled experience in our ministries and worship services. Prior to our scheduled services, we provide refreshments and snacks during our Coffee & Conversation (C&C) time – typically 45 minutes prior to the start of our services. C&C provides an opportunity for friends and newcomers to fellowship with each other, meet some of our church leaders, and participate in various activities.
We encourage folks to sit down and relax in the auditorium 15 minutes prior to the scheduled services. During this time, you’ll hear contemporary worship music while we project announcements of upcoming events, ministry needs, Bible studies, and other various information. You can also use this time to review the bulletin, fill out the Connection Card, talk with those sitting around you, or simply sit and prepare yourself for worship.
Once service starts, you can expect to sing worship songs, be invited to participate in our weekly Communion service, hear Biblical teachings through informative sermons, and for those who are members or those wanting to participate, you’ll have an opportunity to demonstrate your faith through the giving of tithes and offerings.
We typically sing contemporary Christian songs, but also mix in a few hymns that support the themes of the sermons. We have a small worship team, but they definitely make up for it with their serving hearts and passion for ushering the congregation before our Lord in music and song.
Our Lead Pastor, Ricky Flack, delivers a weekly sermon that is Bible-based, heart-felt, and motivational. Our weekly sermons are recorded and published for those who may have missed them, or who simply want to hear the message again. We encourage you to listen to past sermons that you may have missed.
We end each of our services with an invitation. This invitation is made to anyone who wants to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and be baptized into His family; become a member of WHCC; ask any questions relating to the church, the Bible, or what we’re all about; or have someone sit and pray with you.
We love people and we hope that those who come through our doors see firsthand the grace of God and the love of His people. Please join us this week!
We are a congregation of believers committed to sharing the message of Christ and guiding others towards faith in Him. As a church, we aim to love those in our community with the same love Christ has given to us. The work of our church is aimed at directing others towards the Savior in the hopes that they will encounter the one true God and be transformed by His gracious love for them. Through all we do, say, and preach, we pray that we will shine the light of Christ to all those we encounter.
None of the work we do at our church would be possible without God moving the hearts of our people to give. Your generosity helps create a church where people feel welcomed, led, and loved—a place where life-changing stories are being written every week. On behalf of those stories, thank you for giving from your heart.
We give in order to be blessed, not for fear of anything negative in our lives. We give out of gratitude and love! You can give your gift safely and securely online - this is one of the easiest ways to give to our church. Thank you.
Join us for a hot cooked meal on Wednesday nights and enjoy the fellowship and the food!
