  • billy arment

    Elder

    Billy Arment was born in Macon Missouri and raised in northeast and central Missouri for most of his life. He is currently married to Renee Arment. He has a daughter who lives in Kansas City Kansas and another daughter who lives in Toledo Ohio. Billy has three granddaughters and two grandsons. Billy graduated from Versailles Missouri High School in 1979. Billy served 20 years in the United States Army retired. Billy went back to college at age thirty-eight and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in History. At age forty-eight he went back to college and received his Master’s Degree in Agency Counseling (mental health counseling). Billy was baptized in a Christian Church in Shelbyville Missouri at age twelve.  He attended the Assembly of God Church in Barnett Missouri for several years. Billy moved to Florida in 2016 where he worked in mental health for the first year and then went to work for the VA Clinic in the Villages where he retired in 2022. Billy initially attended Adventure Christian Church and then became part of the initial Steering Team and later an Elder at Welcome Home Christian Church where he continues to serve.


  • jim coram

    Elder
    Jim was born in Detroit Michigan and raised in the suburbs of Detroit. Married to his wonderful wife
    Kathy. They are a proud couple of 5 grandkids. Jim was raised by great parents who loved and served
    the Lord, as they attend Faith Baptist Church of Royal Oak, MI. His main profession was as an Electrical Contractor, and Builder. He also spent 26 years as a part-time deputy Sheriff with the Oakland County Sheriffs Dept. After Jim was married, they continued on in the Lords service at another Baptist Church working with the senior high, and college and career group for 13 years, and served on the leadership team for 4 years. They have been coming to Florida since 1994 as much as possible until 2002 when they were able to spend their winters here. About 5 years ago they were introduced to Welcome Home by Rick Flack, the Associate Pastor and started attending. They have been involved helping with different projects and enjoying their worship here. When approached by the staff about being an elder and seeing the excitement about our church Jim was excited to be part of the Godly team that is serving at this church alongside two awesome Pastors.
  • LARRY DIXON

    Elder

    Larry is originally from Saginaw, Michigan, and moved to Tavares in 1988. He started going to Mid-Lakes Christian Church when it was still located on CR 473 in Leesburg. He joined the church and was baptized when the new Mid-Lakes church was built in Tavares on SR 19. While being a member, the church changed its name to Adventure Christian Church. He worked at the church, Learning Center, and Academy doing maintenance. He remained at the church until January, 2017. When WHCC was established, he became an active Charter Member and joined the Steering Committee. He and his wife, Fay, enjoy working and helping in various ministries at WHCC.

  • JEFFREY GARDNER

    Elder

    Jeffrey Gardner was born in Fayetteville, NC and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  He is married to Stephanie Gardner.  He has two daughters (Courtney and Elizabeth) and one son (Nicholas Gardner).  All children currently attend Welcome Home Christian Church.  Jeffrey graduated from the University Of South Carolina (Coastal Carolina College) in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science).  Since 1995, Jeffrey has specialized in Computer Automation and Load and Stress Testing of Computer Systems. Jeffrey currently works for Keysight Technologies as a senior systems engineer.  Jeffrey currently lives in Howey in the Hills, Fl and has lived in this general area for the last 13 years.  Jeffrey grew up in a Presbyterian Church (ARP) and was baptized as a child.  When Jeffrey was 38, he made the conscious decision to be baptized.  Before coming to Welcome Home Christian Church, Jeffrey served as an Elder and was trained as a Stephen Minister from Lake Eustis Christian Church.  Jeffrey is also a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA) currently serving as Vice President of the Leesburg Chapter. Jeffrey has attended Welcome Home Christian Church for the last several years and feels blessed to serve as an Elder and be a part of Welcome Home Christian Church family.
